Faith precedes the miracle

My dear niece,  Reading your letter I was brought to the hymn "How Firm a Foundation", published in 1787  by  John Rippon. Said he in the hymn... Fear not, I am with the, oh be not dismayed, for I am thy God and will still give the aide. I'll strengthen the, help the and cause the to stand, upheld by my righteous omnipotent hand. The Saints knew that the Savior was with them then and He is with them now. Be of good cheer and dry your tears. The doors of the temple will open again and I believe you will see those days and hear the cheers of the saints that day when they cry Hosannah to God.  Keep reminding yourself that because of your faith you started a mission. Because of your faith, you were sent to England. Because of your faith, you are teaching and expounding the Gospel of the Savior to the children of Germany. The doors of the temple will open; count in it.  Gott sei mit dir, bis wir uns wiedersehen Unkil Nate

parable of the sparrows

My dear niece, First Gutten Tag, I hope you are well. I was reflecting on what sound wisdom I could impart. Frankly you are the experienced missionary now so what could I tell you that would bless you more? While reflecting on this I was caught in a thought (revelation?). Here it goes... The first parable of the sparrow. Our minds are like a barn and if you know sparrows, they're like rats, once they are in your barn, it's hard to get them out. Like temptation, Satan throws a thought in now and again. By them selves they are almost harmless, but like sparrows, they reproduce and invite their brethren like crazy. Moral of the story? Clean out your mind regularly. REGULARLY!  Ok enough picking on the sparrows. Parable 2. Sparrows are easy targets, small, fragile and skittish. The chapel is like a barn when the saints gather, they have learned that there is strength in numbers. We can raise our children together in strength of the Lord because we gather together often.  Anyway......

serve sister serve

My dear niece, I hope you are well. I am so grateful that you have got a chance to serve. Are you singing out loud? I am glad that you have spoken to the people. Be sure to share all your talents as the Spirit encourages and inspires you. Never leave your talents like light ever be under a bushel (hidden). I smile every time I read your letters and hope you have had a wonderful time in the Spirit with the saints in Germany.  We all love you very much. Smile and jump with joy for the opportunity to share a message that changes lives and hearts. Satan might try to get to you but know who is on your side; thousand of legions of angels like Elisha and Eli. We have your back and the Savior your,... everything. Work hard and with a cheerful heart.  Gott sei mit dir, bis wir uns wiedersehen Love Uncle Nate

Mississippi

I am so proud Sister Bingham. The Lord has put His trust in your strength that is magnified by your faith in the Savior and hope that He would do miracles for you. Father in Heaven has your back. You are in a place to change lives. I too was overwhelmed with my first companion. Here is my council dear beloved Sister. Pray in German daily; hourly. Raise your voice in prayer and supplication. Show the Savior that no task is too big. Spend time to voice your concerns and know He will listen. You and your companion are daughters of God; daughters, sister. Dont ever forget. Read your Patriarchal blessing when fear seeps in. That is your personal blessing from God. This is your personal scripture. When you read it think of the references that tie in the scriptures to you; to you. I cannot emphasize this enough. You are AMAZING! You are blessed without measure. Go out and open your mouth. Teach, sing and exhort. We love you so much. God be with you. You are in our prayers. Gott sei mit dir, b...
