Letters to Missionaries

My dear Cousin, I agree with you about Jared's brother. Also remember that though you pray for answers, sometimes the Lord answers like a need for air in Jared's boat, with explicit instructions and other times answers like the need for light and will ask you to research and reach out with faith. Jared couldof rode in the boat without light but not air. If you encounter a (light) trial do not be discouraged. Heavenly Father wants tou to stretch and figure it out. This is the Lord's work but also remember this is your mission. God will help you and as you said is before your face, but He will not do the work for you. Have faith and courage. Hello cousin.  I'm so glad that you have started your mission. The path that you are embarking is one that will be the sample of how you will do your mortality. Work hard daily; pray and really talk to our Father in Heaven. Follow the prophets example and really talk to him. Starting your mission, you want to start on the right foot. My dear niece, Remember what I said about "predetermined happiness"? This is your mission Sister! Make it exciting. Push harder, pray harder and ask to expand your belief; your faith. When you miss an area, pray for them and then buckle down and ma kg e memories where you are. The saints will be blessed as you keep your mind on where you are. "Lest parents and children be “tossed to and fro,” and misled by “cunning craftiness” of men who “lie in wait to deceive” ( Eph. 4:14 ), our Father’s plan requires that, like the generation of life itself, the shield of faith is to be made and fitted in the family. No two can be exactly alike. Each must be handcrafted to individual specifications. The plan designed by the Father contemplates that man and woman, husband and wife, working together, fit each child individually with a shield of faith made to buckle on so firmly that it can neither be pulled off nor penetrated by those fiery darts. It takes the steady strength of a father to hammer out the metal of it and the tender hands of a mother to polish and fit it on. Sometimes one parent is left to do it alone. My dear niece, I watch a video series about German life and learned that in Germany there are little means to just get in the house and that it must be done with a key or someone must let you in. I immediately thought of the Savior when he said "Knock and it will be open to you". German culture reflects a need to knock and ask for admission;  a need to ask for an invitation. How kind that the Lord offers us a chance to be part of his world when we are willing to just ask.  My dear beloved niece, Germany is opening the doors to the Lord daily. Continue to sing and open your mouth. The door will open as the windows of heaven. Angel attend you and lead the seakers to you. My dear niece,  I served in three areas. I needed to be in one place for a while. I needed roots. I served as a trainer once and I wish that I taught my companion to pray more often. You may more tough times but heaven and earth (us guys at home) cheer you on.  Pray for your companion and for the Spirit of Teaching. Pray for the gift of tongues too.
