Butterfly

Thank you for sharing. Let me tell you, I have witnessed people who were on their edge who desired change or death because of the weight of sin and to open the door to repentance with them was a change in a matter of minutes and when we, as missionaries, saw them, wow sister, a whole new person. Repentance is the butterfly metamorphose of the soul. The gospel changes lives; the atonement changes lives. I testify God lives and has been on our path with us and wants to lead us home. Hold on to the iron rod and dont ket go for so much as a second. We love you and pray for you.  Cousin Nate

Lie in wait to deceive

My dear niece,  It is not easy to tell the fraud from the ral thing. My first baptism on my mission  turned out that way. In that case it was an eager elder not listening to the Spirit telling us it wasnt going to go well. The refiners fire (Spirit) of the Lord will help you to see true intent like the wise bishop. Ask heaven for the gift and you will have more opportunity to discern true Seekers and fakes. The Savior encountered a fake when he was approached by the rich young man (Matt 19:16-30; Mark 10:17-31). Some will say one thing and do another. Be mindful and forgiving and the Lord will show you true Seekers of the atonement and the gospel. God loves you. Have faith. Denk immer daran, dass Tante Shelly und Onkel Nate dich lieben.

Number One

My dear niece,  Here at work, there is a fellow that calls me, Number One. He calls me such because, not of my skill, speed, or strength, but because of my attitude. Every time he meets me he asks, "are you still Number One?" To which I reply, "Yes Ed, I am Number One because of the great men and women who I work with." My dear niece, you are working with heaven elite. But more than that you are elite. You are Number One. I was reading Alma chapter 5 and came across this.  9 And again I ask, were the bands of death broken, and the chains of hell which encircled them about, were they loosed? I say unto you, Yea, they were loosed, and their souls did expand, and they did sing redeeming love. And I say unto you that they are saved. Also this... 26 And now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, if ye have experienced a change of heart, and if ye have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask, can ye feel so now? Sing. Share the song of redeeming love to all of ...

Look Up

Thanks for the update! My wonderful niece, How blessed you are in your experiences. How wonderful each principle you have learned. The parable I would love to tell you is of the immunization shot. At times, our dear beloved Father in Heaven needs you to learn lessons that without them you would be hurt more than if He was truly in charge. For instance, as a child we all got shots. As we looked at our beloved parents we showed our concern because pain came. When the experience was over and the tears wiped away, our parents rewarded us for being "so brave". Heavenly Father may put you in harm's way where a little harm occurs so that you will be able to avoid real pain of soul and body. Those times where you feel heaven has turned it's back on you, look up! Moses' people were but by snakes and those that looked up were healed. Look up always. Wir leiben Sie. Onkel Nate

Difficulty of the task

My beloved missionaries, At times you may feel that the task at hand is hard but I want to testify that the greater difficulty will recieve the greater reward. When you watched the Olympics as a child I saw some tasks that viewed as impossible overcome and were given a reward for the hard work. It was not a participation trophy but a metal of honor for their hard work. Jesus has a reward for the work that you do today and everyday. Weep not for your pain because when you look back you will see how little was asked and you will have wished that you gave more.  Many years ago there was a movie called Schindlers  List. This man gave all to save people and when he looked back he looked at his very watch and wondered how many lives his watch would of saved. A watch, sisters... a watch. Work as hard as you can and go with full purpose of heart. The rewards will always be great. This point of your life you will always remember.  Remember we love you and wish you the best. Stay c...

saintified in the lords church

Part of me want to emphasize the need to remember that through repentance, baptism and the renewal of those Covenants we become sanctified and that sanctification allows us to see the children oh f God like He sees them.

teaching is a joy

Thanks for the update! My dear niece, Teaching the gospel to my class has been a utter joy in my life. You are so right. I have found it more than a mere discussion among adults. Children take to the gospel like fish to water. I must keep this short but know we love you. Uncle Nate

fiery serpents

Love it! Sister Conley, We are so glad that you listen to the Spirit and have encouraged others also. Our church... The Savior's church needs all of us in spite of our weaknesses so that in our weakness we can build each other and make them strong by being edified together. All to often we turn inward not looking up to Hod for help because the serpent has bitten us and we than see no redemption as was the case with Moses and the saints as they wondered the wilderness. Help those in beautiful souls in Wisconsin know of the Savior's love continually. Again, thanks for the update. The Binghams
