open your mouth

Love it! Sister Conley, Should of used the experience of Steven in Acts (Acts 7:55). But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed steadily into heaven and saw the glory of God, and he saw Jesus standing in the place of honor at God's right hand. (New International Bible) I use this reference to show that even other translations show that Jesus was on God's right hand. But I digress.  My sweetheart extends this encouragement to you. Bear your testimony and show that the scripture were ment to bind us not raise arguments over the Savior. Remember Jesus taught the two great commandments Love God and man (Matt 22:37-38).  When I was a missionary I was a real basher. I knew all the scriptures... I also was a fool. I didn't love my neighbor but wanted to prove a point. One day on my mission I had a new mission companion who when faced with one of those bashers, he bore his testimony. The man's attack turned from anger to fear. He quickly retreated and closed his door pleading ...

A great companion

My beloved Elder Graham, You remind me so much of my own mission. I too had a companion that was part of my mission twice too. My dear companion Elder Kunz taught me the importance of prayer. He and I had so much success and had the Spirit with us so much. One one occasion we taught a woman that because of her, her exhusband and boyfriend joined the church. Another location we ran into a couple that my companion knew here in Utah; we lived over 700 miles away and the Spirit lead to them. Elder, the Lord is in charge. The Lord leads and guides our path. Great people join because of great companions. I testify that you are in the right place, God lives and love us and wants us to succeed.  Show the children of your mission that same thing. God bless you and keep you. Brother Bingham

Wisconsin is blessed

Love it!  My dear cousin Sister Conley, Thank you for reminding my of this great talk and how important we are to our dear Father in Heaven. We want you to know that we are blessed by your continued  success in teaching the gospel of Christ. Thank you for teaching these precious Seekers that they are so dear and loved by a wonderful Savior. Our prayers always go out to the people of Wisconsin. I can tell you of assurance that they are always seeking and yearning for the Saviours love. We know that the Holy Ghost has lead your path and is with you always. Thank you for your letter. Be vigilant and you will remember this time all of eternity.  Cousin Nathan

How are you?

Dear Brigham,  My dear brother, how has been your mission? How has the Lord blessed you? How come I have heard so little from you? Please tell me that the Lord has always been there for you.  I kid, I know your mission has been a reward for your righteousness. I know that this moment is a microcosm of your entire life and I hope that you model yourself after the moments that have shaped your life from what happens here and now. God has really been before you and behind you.  Please write me and tell me of your blessings. Let me be part of your experience. I have been blessed to teach your brothers in your absence. If you want I can send you the blog via email that I share with your family that I send out weekly. Your brothers are or have been a blessing in my class. Pray always and know that i pray for you. Your brother in the Lord, Nate Bingham

I was sick too

My dear niece,  God bless you and your companion in your weakness. I recall the scripture in Matthew (26:41) and Mark (14:38) that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Take care of yourselves and than take care of others. I know sickness can be hard. (Story time...) When I was a younger father and husband, I was in Washington state working. As I have said in an earlier letter, I had to stop my work because of a headache that almost took my life. The Lord's servants (the Elders) were inspired to come to the hospital that day and gave me a blessing I have completely forgotten. Sister Bingham, I dont believe in coincidence and have not for over a decade now. When my surgery was over and I awoke, I straight way got out of my bed and began to walk. It was odd and perhaps frightening for a patient to walk with bandages on his head leaning on an IV rod for support but I insisted walking. I believe that blessing was part of my success. Yes, I left out a lot of details out of t...
