Seek and ye shall find

Love it!  Sister Conley,  When I was in Bakersfield, CA, I encountered a fellow who had lost all hope, his spouse, children, job, car, and was going to lose his house. To say the least, he felt forgotten. It was a Tuesday and he opened the yellow pages (it was the hot summer of 1994) and picked a random spot and dialed to get a job to save his home. The pages landed on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Normally the church isn't open but a clerk in that building in the very room, where that phone would ring, answered. Suddenly with a new joy, we taught about the prophet and the book that he brought to the world and she left with a copy of it. A week later the young woman joined the church. Sister Conley, we were in our pajamas when we taught the Lord and His miracle of the Book of Mormon. Our hair was a mess but clearly the righteous do not see our imperfections on the outside but see o...
