Wow! My fear Sister Conley, I reflected upon President Smith when he had the same issue with the dead and how Jesus organized and taught the dead. At the time the flu death rate was so high that it beat 50 million to the wars 8 million. 1918 was horrible. Even his son had died. Events like this led the prophet to ponder as every prophet before him in hard times. Doctrine and Covenants 138 was the answer. My point, keep pouring over the Spirit with your questions and the windows of heaven will open and your answer will astonish you. Know that I pray for you cousin. God bless you and keep you.
