Bash Trap

Elder Bingham, First God bless you and your companions, all of them. I marvel how you have been blessed to use the priesthood so many times to bless and edify in such a short time. Next what is a HOA? Next, getting ready he chance to baptize a person your first week out. That's amazing. Now my warning. Elder, Bible bashing us Satan's to to divide people. Always remember the scripture are meant to unite the children of God to Him through the Beloved Son. In those times, bear your testimony. Testify of God and Jesus. The trivial crap will only confuse and frustrate you. Don't get caught in that trap! That's Satan's tool. They (the bashers) might mean well but you stick to what you know, what you study and the promptings of the Holy Ghost. The Spirit will guide you to those ready to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  You're doing great and I am proud of you. I and my family pray for you. God be with you Elder, till we meet again. Iconography

Elders,  I want to start with a quote that was reemphasize in October 2011 of the prophet Spencer W. Kimball... "There are three ways in which the Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion. It is the keystone in our witness of Christ. It is the keystone of our doctrine. It is the keystone of testimony. The Book of Mormon is the keystone in our witness of Jesus Christ, who is Himself the cornerstone of everything we do. It bears witness of His reality with power and clarity. Unlike the Bible, which passed through generations of copyists, translators, and corrupt religionists who tampered with the text, the Book of Mormon came from writer to reader in just one inspired step of translation. Therefore, its testimony of the Master is clear, undiluted, and full of power. But it does even more. Much of the Christian world today rejects the divinity of the Savior. They question His miraculous birth, His perfect life, and the reality of His glorious Resurrection. The Book of Mormon te...

Wide Receiver

My beloved brethren, I have ought to give you this parable. A wide receiver who plays football and only stands there expecting the ball only to come to home with no effort will be tackled. He must dart and weave. He must avoid his advisory's attacks and create an opening for the ball to be delivered to him. He must be ever mindful and watching for the moment of the quarterback. The same can be said of moments of the Spirit. You must study and pray; be a beacon on a hill ever testifying of Christ and when the Spirit and you are both ready, inspiration comes, teaching a enlightened moments come, because you were ready. You need to avoid sin, doubt, fear. These things are more damaging than swords. They will get in the way of the still small voice. King David of Israel faced a lion and bear. He face the feared Goliath. Do you think he was afraid? No! He was prepared. Megachurches and street preachers may get in your face but you are on the Lord's errand. Doubt not! Fear not! God i...

Periodic Tests

My beloved Elders of Israel, First know, you are in my prayers. I pray for your success and that you will learn from failures. As you know Thomas Jefferson developed the invention, the lightbulb. It took time and effort. It's important to have a vision, a goal, a direction and this is the direction of my email. Five years ago the apostle, Elder David A Bednar said... "Periodic tests absolutely are essential to learning. An effective test helps us to compare what we need to know with what we actually know about a specific subject; it also provides a standard against which we can evaluate our learning and development. Likewise, tests in the school of mortality are a vital element of our eternal progression. Interestingly, however, the word test is not found even one time in the scriptural text of the standard works in English. Rather, words such as prove, examine, and try are used to describe various patterns of demonstrating appropriately our spiritual knowledge about, understa...

Our name

Elders here is an old message that never got our to my primary class. I thought you'd like it. Brothers and sisters,  Sorry I missed last week so some of last week will be blurred with this week. First, this week, it seemed that the people needed, after hearing the gospel, the name of the church. When I say Disney what do you think of? Hamburgers? Cars? Nope! Rides and movies, that's what comes to mind. Now say the name of His church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. What images come to mind? Prophets, seekers, and revelations? Scriptures? Temples? Conference? Great! Now we have an image; what else did Jesus need us to do? We look like Christ's church. What next? We need to act like His church. Like anything else we need to be and not just look like Christ's church. Our actions, speech, and thoughts need to reflect the words of Christ.  Let's ask a new question. What does the Gospel mean to you? What do you do to show Christ in your countenance? Do ...

Last Wagon

Elders,  Happy Birthday. I thought my nephews would enjoy this talk being saints of the last days. They of the Last Wagon By President J. Reuben Clark Jr. (1871–1961) First Counselor in the First Presidency From an October 1947 general conference address,  “To Them of the Last Wagon.”   In that last wagon there was devotion and loyalty and integrity and, above and beyond everything else, faith in the Brethren and in God’s power. I would like to say something about the last wagon in each of the long wagon trains that toiled slowly over the plains. … …  Back in the last wagon, not always could they see the Brethren way out in front, and the blue heaven was often shut out from their sight by heavy, dense clouds of the dust of the earth. Yet day after day, they of the last wagon pressed forward, worn and tired, footsore, sometimes almost disheartened, borne up by their faith that God loved them, that the restored gospel was true, and that the Lord led and directe...
