I was sick too

My dear niece,

God bless you and your companion in your weakness. I recall the scripture in Matthew (26:41) and Mark (14:38) that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Take care of yourselves and than take care of others. I know sickness can be hard. (Story time...)

When I was a younger father and husband, I was in Washington state working. As I have said in an earlier letter, I had to stop my work because of a headache that almost took my life. The Lord's servants (the Elders) were inspired to come to the hospital that day and gave me a blessing I have completely forgotten. Sister Bingham, I dont believe in coincidence and have not for over a decade now. When my surgery was over and I awoke, I straight way got out of my bed and began to walk. It was odd and perhaps frightening for a patient to walk with bandages on his head leaning on an IV rod for support but I insisted walking. I believe that blessing was part of my success. Yes, I left out a lot of details out of this story and I hope to tell you more but for this I want you to know two things, God, our dearest and sweetest Father, loves you and your companion and the second thing is that you will come to understand the purpose and reason for why you taught in your sickness or why you were even sick in the first place.

God bless you and keep you.

Gott sei mit dir, bis wir uns wiedersehen.

Liebe Onkel Nate
