Have courage

My dear cousin,

Your example reminded me of a story my sweetheart tells of missionaries whose pranks got out of hand. They teased and teased each other to the point that Nair was used on a sister. That leads to a chase and false accusations. Lots of tears were shed. While zone leaders were sorting the issue out, the falsely accused was outside a Dennys next to a woman on break. It was Utah so they thought the waitress was a saint, so the missionary was asked to temporarily sit with this woman. The missionary was in tears and stressed. This wonderful woman offered a cigarette to ease the missionary's spirit. Refusing the offer the missionary took the time to explain the situation but more than that, teach the gospel. That waitress joined the church. We know because she was a friend of my wife. Now, this new saint was not happy about the pranks or teasing but about how the Holy Ghost can turn a terrible experience into one where God can be made manifest and can put us in the right place. Cousin, God has you in the right place, right now. Believe it. All hell can break loose on your mission but if you stand firm with the Savior you always rise a Phoenix from ashes meant to burn you and leave you but you will succeed. Pray always. The Lord is with you every hour because he knows you need him so.

We love you. We pray for you. You are truly blessed. God us with you always (D&C 84:88
Isaiah 52:12). Smile and rejoice in song and word and you will see a blessing like rain that will touch everyone around you not just yourself. Again, give thanks for where you are and know you were sent, called, and when you embrace that calling, you are then called.

Cousin Nathan
