Easter Message

Dear Elders,

First, I want to wish you a Happy Easter. I have been reflecting on the Resurrection and wanted to share a few thoughts with you.

When the Lord fed the multitudes, He didn't ask for enough food to feed everyone; He only asked that they bring what they had. A young lad brought a small portion, and it was enough. Thousands were fed both spiritually and physically. Similarly, the Lord does not ask you to feed everyone on your own; He only asks that you bring what you have. As His servants, you may sometimes feel your testimony or language skills are insufficient, but I repeat to you what I have said to every missionary: "Doubt not, fear not." You have brought what you have to your mission, and I pray you are seeing an increase daily.

Regarding the Resurrection, consider Mary at the tomb. In her tears and fervent prayer, the Savior appeared to her. What transformed her experience was when the Lord called her by name. Just as He called Moses, Joseph, and Jeremiah, He called Mary. She brought her faith—her "five loaves and two fishes"—and the Lord rewarded it.

I hope you continue to bring your faith to the Lord. While you cannot control every outcome, I hope that as you press forward, you feel the Savior’s presence drawing you closer to our Heavenly Father. Remember that God is with you and has sent the Comforter to be your constant companion. If you listen prayerfully, you will be led continually.

I pray for your success and increased faith. You are doing a wonderful work. Happy Easter, and thank you for your letters.

Best regards,

Brother Bingham
